Important things you should know about grading!

Students should remember that taking an exam is a privilege, not a right. Just because you have been a member of a dojo for some time, are friends with the instructor, or senior belts etc. does not give you the right to participate in a grading. Your instructor has the final say as to whether you are ready to grade or not. Do not take for granted that you are ready for the next level! NO ONE is that good.

At our dojos many things are taken into consideration for exam eligibility. Some of these things are technique, kata, fitness level, individual ability, age, attendance, attitude, standing in the dojo and behavior. Karate is not just about fighting and how many kata you know, it is a DO (way) of life,
Osu!
